About the Division
The Catering & Housekeeping Division has been a part of the Al Tasnim Group from the commencement of the Group’s operations with the aim to provide nutritious food of good quality to suit the various regional tastes of our workforce. The division provides catering & housekeeping services not only to the 15,000 people of the Group’s workforce, but also to a number of prestigious external customers.
Strictly following food hygiene regulations & complying with national standards, the division supplies food to all of Al Tasnim’s inhouse divisions through its various mess halls & a centrally located kitchen. Quality & hygiene is of prime importance & the division operates to internationally recognized standards.
HSE & Quality
- Food Safety Management System & Kitchen Management is certified to ISO 22000:2005 & HACCP standards.
- With an extensive food preparation & distribution network, the division places its main focus on food safety & health. With the important responsibility of providing high-energy, healthy, & safe food to thousands of people every day, the division never compromises on its commitment to service, quality, & value.
- Deming’s PDCA cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act) is a vital part of the company’s quality & HSE standards.
- The divisions Food Safety Policy states that it “recognizes & acknowledges its responsibility for food safety & ensures that all foods being catered to customers are safe & fit for consumption, by complying with all HACCP guidelines, ISO 22000:2005 food safety management system, good catering practices & ensuring all statutory & regulatory requirements are fulfilled.”
From a standard expatriate labour menu or a local Omani selection to international staff menu, the division can provide all types of menus to suit the client’s requirements. They can also provide meals to smaller sites & locations without a kitchen from a central cooking facility.
To produce large number of meals in a safe & hygienic environment, the division can advise on kitchen design, storage facilities & dining areas to ensure that the operations meet the required standards.
